Apricot plants
Korolevskiy apricot plants A vigorous tree up to 5 m tall with a rounded crown. Winter hardiness is satisfactory, and cropping is heavy and annual. Trees over 10 years old have a stated minimum yield of about 45–50 kg. Yellow fruits with a slight pink-red blush weigh an average of 38–42 g. Ripe flesh is yellow-orange, and the stone separates readily. Ripening is medium-early. Codling, plum and oriental fruit moths damage apricots and other orchard fruits, causing premature fruit drop. Korolevskiy has insufficient resistance to these pests, making timely preventive and protective measures important. Recommended measures include cleaning bark on the trunk and main branches in spring; digging between rows and around trunks in autumn and regularly loosening the soil; using Trichogramma at the start of mass pest egg-laying; installing pheromone traps and trapping bands; and regularly pruning affected shoots and branches.
